I panicked on Friday. I brushed my hair and a ton of it came out in the brush. Then I started thinking WOW, it's going to be two weeks on Tuesday and that's when the Dr.s and nurses said my hair would start falling out. So after school I cut it. I want to either use it for a wig for myself or donate it to Locks of Love. So the girl that cut it measured 10 inches and cut it off. At first it looked like this bowl cut straight from Dumb and Dumber then I started laughing and she started laughing so I wouldn't start crying. Then she wouldn't let me watch the rest of the time.
I actually really like it. That's probably a good thing since I'm going to have short hair for a couple years while it grows back in. Usually 3 months after you stop doing chemo your hair starts growing back in. So that's about Sept. for me. My husband was super cool about it and said it looks cute and my girls love it and showed me off to all their friends. I'm feeling great. Have normal energy.

I am bummed I couldn't do it! I want to see a picture of it. Hey one of my friends went super short and everyone ended of liking it even better. She always gets compliments on her eyes now. Maybe short is the new you!
ReplyDeleteKath~ Your hair is sooo thick to begin with, I think you'll have a long time before it gets too thin. Regardless though, you're a babe! You can pull anything off and the majority of that comes from what's within you (which can't be faked ; ). I love you!
